Vidhai - 'Suryavudan Oru Vetri Payanam'

Vidhai-'Suryavudan Oru Vetri Payanam' a special show is to be telecast in Vijay TV on Independence day. We all know that Actor Surya who started Agaram Foundation also contributed in the form of Vidhai during Pongal 2010. Vijay TV had joined hands with Agaram Foundation and gave a program Vidhai - 'Oru Kodi oru thodakkam'. The main purpose of this foundation is massive fund raising on a non profit motive to help the underprivileged students to peruse their higher education. Ten industrialists came forward to contribute 10 lakhs each summing to one crore on the day of Pongal festival.

Vijay TV is again joining hands with Suriya's Agaram on this Independence Day, August 15, 2010. Suriya would be a mediator on Vijay TV's show on August 15, 2010 at 9AM amidst the audience of about 160 students, their parents and donors. The special guest on the show would be Director Bala.

General Manager K.Shriram said, “'Vidhai' was initially a thought but after that many of them gave their support and this gives us the encouragement to help us achieve the required.” He adds, “Vijay TV has also joined and always believed in being socially responsible and has given its best to contribute to the betterment of the society. We joined hands with Actor Surya's Agaram Foundation with Vidhai project where many students will be benefited.”

Shriram said that the foundation take care of the child's five years of education from the very first day of their college. The milestone for this project was set on Pongal. At the beginning of this project, the foundation had a doubt that whether it is possible to collect the required money to run this project, but really, the huge contribution from the donors has made them realize that Vidhai is no more a thought, instead a movement.
